Henderson Expert Discusses Eco-Friendly Refrigerants

Jason Cornett, refrigeration technical manager at Henderson Engineers, was recently interviewed by Facilities Maintenance Decisions magazine for a story focused on the American Innovation and Manufacturing (AIM) Act. This groundbreaking legislation, enacted in 2020, aims to significantly phase down the manufacture and use of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), which are greenhouse gases that the building industry utilizes in air conditioning, refrigeration, fire suppression, and more. Cornett, a 10-year Henderson veteran, shares expert insights into the impact this law will have on the development and adoption of alternative eco-friendly refrigerants as well as equipment operations and maintenance.
