Homefield Training Facility

Homefield Kansas City continues to upgrade the athlete, parent, and spectator experience with the latest addition of the Showcase Center, located in Kansas City, Kansas. This 150,000 SF facility is a state-of-the-art training hub for basketball and volleyball, hosting world-class tournaments and events for top organizations like Building Champions and the Professional Volleyball Association. Their dedicated training area has revolutionized athlete development, offering the best training and care for all performance levels with the assistance of skilled coaches, physical therapists, chiropractors, and other healthcare providers. Exclusive VIP offices for college coaches further elevate the center’s unique appeal. Beyond athletics, Homefield also offers a variety of food and beverage options, from casual bites to VIP dining, catering to everyone’s needs.
In collaboration with the architect and developer, Henderson Engineers provided top-tier acoustics, architectural lighting, audio-video setups, and essential building systems like electrical, fire and life safety, integrated automation, plumbing, mechanical, security, and telecom services. Spaces we were involved in designing include the indoor wood floor courts, restaurants with industrial kitchens, training areas, speed & conditioning areas, classrooms, lounges, and concession areas. Working on this facility was rewarding to the project team and will continue to benefit the local community, with some Henderson staff making frequent visits on the weekends to sporting events in Kansas City.
