Tracy Dickens, a collaborative and driven talent acquisition director at Henderson Engineers, works closely with leadership to develop data-driven talent strategies that support the company’s growth to keep the firm competitive and innovative and is known for her passion for people as well as building strong partnerships. Initially drawn to Henderson because of its employee-owned company structure and casual culture, it’s the people she’s met along the way that continue to inspire her and motivate her in her role. Tracy enjoys working with her team, sharing a work hard, play hard mentality where everyone is positive and always willing to support each other. One of her proudest achievements at Henderson has been elevating recruiters into trusted consultants who help guide strategic decisions that shape the company’s talent and success.
When it comes to hiring, Tracy emphasizes the importance of the "humble, smart, and hungry" profile, a concept from Patrick Lencioni's "The Ideal Team Player." She believes that candidates who embody these traits tend to be more successful in the long run, as technical skills can always be developed, but these core qualities are essential for building a strong team. When not developing the Henderson team or her leadership skills, Tracy can often be found volunteering at the Center for Disability Inclusion and serving in the kid’s ministry to support special needs children. She also enjoys riding horses and spending quality time with her children.
